        A.     Use tobacco in any manner or form
        B.     Consume, possess or distribute alcoholic beverages
        C.     Consume, possess or distribute any drug, drug-like substance or paraphernalia.

NOTE:       THE ABOVE RULE APPLIES FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR, WHETHER OR NOT THE
ATHLETE IS PARTICIPATING IN A SPORT. IF AN ABOVE OFFENSE OCCURS DURING
SCHOOL OR AT A SCHOOL FUNCTION, THE SCHOOL DISCIPLIARY CODE TAKES EFFECT FIRST.

PENALTY:
   1.     First Violation:  The athlete shall loose eligibility for the next two consecutive athletic contests or two weeks of a season in which the athlete is a participant, whichever is greater.
   2.     Second Violation: The athlete shall be ineligible for that sport for atleast the remainder of the season or longer if circumstances warrant it.
   3.     Third Violation: The athlete will not be permitted to participate on any athletic team for a period of one year. The one year period begins on the date of the third offence.

NOTE:       The above penalties shall accumulate starting with the date of the first offense. The accumulation period will extend for one year, beginning with the date of the first offense.

2.       Failing two or more courses, whether they are required or elective in a marking period, will disqualify the athlete from participation in extracurricular activities until the number of failures has been reduced to no more than one at the conclusion of the next quarter. Eligibility will be determined on the day that the report card is issued. Additionally, student-athletes must earn a 76% general average in a marking period to maintain academic eligibility. Seniors must pass all courses needed to graduate.

3.       Athletes must be in school by 11:00AM on days that they are required to be in school in order to practice or participate in a contest. Exceptions would be allowed (note required) for such things as a physicians appointment or attendance at a funeral.

4.       Suspension from school on a practice or game day results in suspension from the team for as long as the school suspension lasts.

5.       Good sportsmanship is expected of CSW athletes at all times, whether they are directly participating in the game, sitting on the bench/sidelines or observing a contest as a spectator.

6.       Coaches may add but not delete from these rules. If coaches do add to the rules, the CSW President must have a copy of the additions.

7.       Coaches, athletes and fans must comply with all rules of the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (ex. Completed DIAA Physical Form).

8.       The 24 Hour Rule applies for all contests. Any athlete, parent or spectator who has a concern with a coach may NOT bring this to the coach immediately before a contest. They MUST wait 24 hours after the contest to address the concern.

9.       The Proper Channels Rule:  Concerns about rules and penalties must be addressed FIRST WITH THE COACH. If there is still a concern, then it may be brought to the Athletic Director. Concerns about any issues related to athletics must follow a proper procedure with direct communication starting with the Head Coach, then the Athletic Director and then the administration of the school.
