The 2006-2007 Senior Council created Charter’s first ever morning TV program, "10 Minutes." The show, broadcasted over classroom televisions each Friday, featured a variety of segments including the morning news, sports, the field report, world news, weather, and a popular dance comedy spoof that sent the school to its first period each Friday morning with a smile and a laugh.
"10 Minutes" has returned for a third season this year, and is once again hosted by members of Charter Council. The show continues to evolve as segments and anchors rotate on a weekly basis. "10 Minutes" is filmed throughout the week with final filming and preparation taking place Thursday afternoons after school.
This year’s segments include the following:
The Morning News, which provides the student body with general school news, announcements and notifications
Charter Sports Center, which highlights CSW athletic programs and student athletes, while also providing scores and notifications of upcoming sports contests
Field Report, which polls popular opinion amongst the students and staff at Charter
The Weekly Walk, a comical look at Charter happenings or topical events
