Junior/Senior Prom

The Junior/Senior Prom is held at The Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington every spring. 

The 2009 prom is Friday evening, April 24 from 7pm to 12am.  Tickets cost $85 per person and checks can be made payable to The Charter School of Wilmington.   (April 24 is a staff in-service and there is no school for the entire student body that day.)  Invitations were distributed on January 20, 2009.

Checks and response cards were due on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in the envelope provided with the invitation. 

Prom attendees are expected to arrive on time.  No one will be permitted to leave prom early.

DRESS

Dress for prom is formal.

MENU

The prom is catered by the Chase Center and is buffet in style.  A soda and water bar will be open for the entire evening.  This year’s prom menu includes the following:

BLT Salad, Macaroni and Cheese, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Braised Boneless Beef Short Ribs, Mashed Sweet Potatoes, String Bean Casserole, Corn Bread, Penne Pasta with tomatoes/basil/garlic and Strawberry Shortcake.

SEATING

Each table is limited to 10 people.  Table lists were distributed in homerooms on March 23.  Lists are due back to any Senior Council member or room 214 by the end of the day on Thursday, April 2. 

PHOTOGRAPHS

Lifetouch Photography will be present at the Chase Center to take photographs, both casual and formal.  Payment is required the evening of prom.  Please make checks payable to Lifetouch Photography.  Pricing and packages available can be found here.

AFTER-PROM

After-Prom, hosted by Charter parents, takes place back at school.  It begins immediately following prom at 12am and ends at 3am.   Students are not required to attend the prom to attend the after-prom.

Tickets are $10 each and will be sold by Charter parents during both lunches for the weeks of March 23 and March 30, 2009.  Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold at the door.

Changing rooms will be made available for both girls and boys.  You will be able to check both dresses and tuxes.  Remember to bring a change of clothes in your car or limousine.
