All current 8th grade students whose primary residence is in Delaware may apply for 9th grade. The admissions process begins in 8th grade.  Our maximum enrollment is 970 students and our freshmen class size is determined by the difference between 970 and the number of returning students for grades 10 through 12.

Due to readability issues, we do not accept faxes or PDF documents by email. As a component of specific-interest in CSW, applicants will be evaluated for their exposure and foundation in Math and Reading using the TerraNova™ assessment. The results of this assessment may also be used for academic phase placement of enrolled students along with other phase-assessment processes. An email with reminders and instructions will be sent a few days before the assessment.

Historically,  we have had more applicants than seats available.  When this happens, we use a lottery to offer seats while giving priority to applicants who are eligible for the defined preferences outlined in our Admissions Policy (currently under review). Please review the Admissions Policy on our website for information about our specific-interest rubric and how we apply the preferences.
