Mrs. Trish Szaroleta, our new School Counselor, has been supporting students in Pennsylvania and Delaware for the past 19 years. She earned her undergraduate degree in Secondary Education and Biology from Villanova University in 2005 and her Master of Education degree in Secondary School Counseling from Wilmington University in 2008. Mrs. Szaroleta is a wife and mother of two before anything else. She understands that the journey through high school is equally important to both students and parents.
Starting her career as an AP Science teacher in Pennsylvania, Mrs. Szaroleta quickly found that her true passion was supporting the unique needs of her students. She transitioned from the classroom into student support roles; most recently as a Special Education Coordinator and School Counselor, supporting students and families for the last 14 years in Delaware.
Mrs. Szaroleta is eager to join the Student Services Department at The Charter School of Wilmington. Outside of the professional setting, she can be found on a volleyball court as a coach or parent, reading a book, or spending time with her family.
